Summary
Come close to God and He will come close to you (James 4:8 AMPC). A simple set of words to understand, but nonetheless conditional. We own the first move. Let us position our hearts towards Jesus that He may receive our love without us expecting anything in return. Nevertheless, you cannot stop a loving Lord from making His presence known to His child once He sees their heart has made the choice of getting to know Him. It’s just a matter of time before you notice changes for the better in how you feel and the circumstances around you. Without knowing, you begin to activate the results of other conditional verses such as Matthew 6:33. Yes, even without having to memorize them.
One of the many benefits of spending more time with your Lord Jesus is one example given by David as recorded in Psalm 16:7-9. He wrote that he continually sets the Lord before him, and that because the Lord is at David’s right hand, he (David) will not be shaken. Nothing can be shaken which is firm in its foundation. If you keep the Lord set before you and you spend time with Him daily, nothing will be able to shake or disturb you from your trust and confidence. Let us spend more time in our Private room (Matthew 6:6), behind closed doors, so that the Father will see us in secret and reward us in the open. Let us be diligently seeking the Lord so that he will reward us. When the Lord gives a reward, who would ever be disappointed when He knows what is best for us?
Our hope in this current set of programs is that would commit to focusing more of your heart, for more of your day, towards Jesus. He, who loves you more than words can describe, paid for your rescue (Colossians 1:13), to be a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), to be cleansed of all unrighteousness in your conscience as we confess our sins to the Lord (1 John 1:9), and of course for you to have eternal life (John 3:16).
This program covers the following Scriptures from the Amplified Classic version (AMPC): Psalm 16:7-9; Matthew 6:6; Matthew 11:28; James 4:8; Psalm 46:10-11; Psalm 51:10; 2 Corinthians 3:17.
