True love is telling someone the truth.
Know your enemy. Just because you don’t see the wind doesn’t mean it doesn’t blow against you. The devil remains cunning, just as he was in the garden against Eve. (Genesis chp 3). It is our choice whether we remain ignorant.
Not messing with ouija boards, not messing with astrology doesn’t keep you out of the kingdom of darkness that is Satan’s. You were already there from birth as a fallen human race in a fallen world. Not walking under ladders and being cautious of Friday 13th doesn’t keep you out of the devil’s kingdom.
Dabbling in these things just adds more demons to our inward portfolio, our eyes darker than before, reflecting the darkness in our souls.
There is one broad way to destruction (sheol, hell). If you don’t do anything, you’ll end up in hell because of your ancestors Adam and Eve (Genesis 2:17). It wasn’t God’s fault …. it was ours, so stop blaming Him for ANYTHING. WE decided to reject Him and submit to the cunning serpent Satan. WE and not God, assigned our own destiny to destruction that we RIGHTLY deserve. That is why it is God’s Grace, the undeserved favor from God, the free gift of eternal salvation and life — but it’s not yours until you receive it. God gave you a free will. It’s not automatic. The enemy keeps you blinded following other blinded sheep. The blind following the blind. You will remain blind at your peril unless you make a conscious decision to turn from your ways and face the Light — JESUS, the Word made flesh.
In the meantime, there’s no action required if you like your life, if you want to continue the way you are going. Jesus wants you to hate your life. (John 12:25). As you look around, the same old dual carriageway/motorway/freeway of “life” you have been on since birth.
You cannot see beyond the horizon of this road but it leads to eternal death and not heaven. Of course, the enemy is not going to reveal the truth lest you quickly turn to Jesus. No, he h-tes you and wants to take you with him to eternal destruction. On the other hand, God LOVES you and He has revealed the Truth by Scripture and His Son testifying of HIS Kingdom when He walked the earth. But even God said that His people will perish because of lack of knowledge – because they rejected it. Keeping a Bible on the shelf is not going to get you into Heaven or into a relationship with God.
Not seeing a speed limit sign doesn’t prevent you getting a ticket if you break the law. The only way of escape is to “Take The Next Exit” that leads to eternal life. Jesus is that Next Exit, He is The Way (John 14:6), Jesus is that Way of Escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). Believing Jesus once went to the Cross also won’t cut the mustard, it will not be enough at the pearly gates. If you want eternal life, you have to understand what it is. John 17:3 has the answer:
John 17:3 And this is eternal life: [it means] to know (to perceive, recognize, become acquainted with, and understand) You, the only true and real God, and [likewise] to know Him, Jesus [as the] Christ (the Anointed One, the Messiah), Whom You have sent.
Romans 6:23
23 For the wages which sin pays is death, but the [bountiful] free gift of God is eternal life through (in union with) Jesus Christ our Lord.
Seek Him, give Him your life, invite Him into your heart, believe He was raised by God, confess Jesus as Lord. Just make sure you do it before your last breath, which you know not when that will be. Or better still, TODAY. Lest we remain in the stubbornness and foolishness of the game of russian roulette with our remaining hours, rolling the dice of how long we can keep one or both feet in darkness and one or neither foot in what we falsely believe is our assured place in heaven.
Matthew 7:21-27
21 Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven.
22 Many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name and driven out demons in Your name and done many mighty works in Your name?
23 And then I will say to them openly (publicly), I never knew you; depart from Me, you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands].
24 So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts upon them [obeying them] will be like a [a]sensible (prudent, practical, wise) man who built his house upon the rock.
25 And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.
26 And everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not do them will be like a stupid (foolish) man who built his house upon the sand.
27 And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell—and great and complete was the fall of it.
The choice is yours. As my Mother used to say “Don’t come running to me…..” Don’t come running to Jesus AFTER you breathe your last breath, as it will be too late. Chose Him NOW.
Romans 10:9
9 Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
In the early years the church did me a great disservice of not teaching critical scriptures from the Bible. The devil was and is in the church, continuing all he can as the god (lowercase ‘g’) of this world, to blind us from not hearing and receiving and knowing the Truth.
2 Corinthians 4:4
4 For the god of this world has blinded the unbelievers’ minds [that they should not discern the truth], preventing them from seeing the illuminating light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ (the Messiah), Who is the Image and Likeness of God.
I thought “The Walking Dead” was just a film/movie. In fact we all are The Walking Dead, misinformed and falsely believing we are actually Alive. That is unless and until you confess and make Jesus Lord in our lives.
Ask Jesus to reveal Himself to you, make that free-will decision today and watch God take up your prayer. You WILL be glad you did. Jesus will set you free from your sins, bondage, captivity in all forms. Seek Him with all of your heart and you will find Him.
