Surrendering to being in His Presence. In John chapter 15, verse 1 it says I am The True Vine and My Father is The Vinedresser. As you go further into the chapter you read about how the Vine and Vinedresser work together to bring you to a point of maturity in Christ. Before this process can begin of I in you and you in Me (you as a branch connecting into The Vine), you must surrender things and submit to the authority of Jesus as Lord.
Is Jesus your Lord? Do you come under the authority of Jesus Christ? Are you open to having Jesus be the Vine? Are you open to God, your Heavenly Father being the Vinedresser?
