What We Believe

~ Introduction ~

At Touch of God Ministries, we believe that Jesus is the Son of the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob. That Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil Satan, and in so doing Jesus was able to pay the price for us to receive the free gift of salvation and have eternal life.

We believe that the sacrifice that God and His Son Jesus made on the cross, allowed the relationship of man to be restored with God, which takes place if he/she chooses to receive Jesus into their heart, confesses Jesus as Lord, and believes that God raised Jesus from the dead (Rom 10v9).

We believe that Jesus came to seek and save that which was lost. We believe that as a person receives Jesus into their heart, that is where God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit comes to stay – within the person. We believe that the born-again believer is in Christ, and Christ is in him.

That, in Christ, the believer can use the authority of Jesus over all sickness, disease and all evil, to subdue the earth with the dominion man was supposed to have all along, but now has once more in Jesus. This so that God’s will shall be established upon this earth as it is in heaven. This, so that God’s Word will become settled on earth, as it is already forever settled in heaven (Psalm 119:89). We believe that the person who becomes born-again can do all things through Christ who strengthens them. (Phil 4:13)

~ We Believe ~

2 Timothy 3:16 – All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;

Romans 5:8 – But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

Psalm 34:18 – The LORD is near to the brokenhearted And saves those who are crushed in spirit.

James 1:22 – But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.

All Christians should be Obedient and do what Jesus Commissioned them to do:

Matthew 10:7-8 – And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.

The Two Commandments of Jesus (Matthew 22:37-40) – 37 And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the great and foremost commandment. 39 The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’

The Great Commission as recorded in Mark 16:14-20 – The Disciples Commissioned 14 Afterward He appeared to the eleven themselves as they were reclining at the table; and He reproached them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who had seen Him after He had risen. 15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. 17 These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” 19 So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them, and confirmed the word by the signs that followed.

We know that all believers are to do this, and not just a specific group of believers because scripture tells us specifically in verse 20 of Matthew 28 that we are to observe all that Jesus commanded us through those who teach us:

The Great Commission as recorded in Matthew 28:16-2016 But the eleven disciples proceeded to Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had designated. 17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some were doubtful. 18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
