Richly Blessed

[spb_text_block pb_margin_bottom=”no” pb_border_bottom=”no” width=”1/1″ el_position=”first last”]

We are richly blessed to be called the sons and daughters of God. May we rejoice knowing our new identity in Christ. Let us be confident that He is forever by our side. Jesus tells us be anxious for nothing. So do not worry about a thing. For if you do you only feed the problem and it takes longer for that problem to be resolved. People say to you don’t worry about something that might never happen. I say instead that if you worry about something it may cause it to happen because what our faith believes shall happen
… will mostly like happen. When we worry we do not have a problem believing in our worries. We never doubt about how bad a problem might be in our lives. Sadly we too often believe in them. Instead let us have faith in God. Believe in Him instead. Whose report shall we believe? For He alone is trustworthy and faithful. He has positionally delivered us from all our worries and troubles and sicknesses. All we have to do is take hold of his truth and his kindness and Faithfulness and give him all our troubles. As the lady in the song shown in this post sings so beautifully…..

“Holy Father
Holy Son
Holy Spirit”

If you have allowed Jesus in to your heart and confess Him as your Lord and believe that He was raised from the dead…. You are blessed indeed!

Psalms 34:7-10,13-18
[7]The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, And rescues them.
[8]O taste and see that the Lord is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!
[9]O fear the Lord, you His saints; For to those who fear Him there is no want.
[10]The young lions do lack and suffer hunger; But they who seek the Lord shall not be in want of any good thing.
[13]Keep your tongue from evil And your lips from speaking deceit.
[14]Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it.
[15]The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous And His ears are open to their cry.
[16]The face of the Lord is against evildoers, To cut off the memory of them from the earth.
[17]The righteous cry, and the Lord hears And delivers them out of all their troubles.
[18]The Lord is near to the brokenhearted And saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Lord You are good. Thank you for all you have done and all you continue to do in our lives. You are a rewarder of those who diligently seek you.

As you are so are your sons and daughters in this world.

We Don’t Deserve Anything from God

We Don’t Deserve Anything From God!

I have a lot to thank God for. Just one example is what he said (through another believer) to me on a couple of topics when I first received salvation through Jesus in 2009.

“It’s not about you. It’s about you being on the team.”

This is what the Lord spoke to me in 2009. Although it does not sound especially encouraging, I realize that if God does not keep directing my path and my heart then I am not going to effectively accomplish his will in my life, or for others by God using me, while on this earth. In Hebrews 12:6 it says that he disciplines those whom he loves. Don’t we ultimately want to grow and be pleasing to him? To be chastised or to receive direction like this from God is never a bad thing. We should welcome it however much our flesh doesn’t want it.

God had previously shown this other believer, who is a friend, a vision of my hands on fire. It was encouragement and a confirmation to what I had always wanted to do …. Lay hands on the sick for them to recover. God knew my heart better than me. I believe he saw that if he did not warn me to remain humble that if would end up agreeing with the thoughts of the devil … that all the healings I will experience will be because of me. That would then lead to a fall since God humbles those who exalt themselves. See 1 Peter 5:5 and James 4:6 as examples.

“Always remember that you didn’t create your heart. I did.”

God spoke this to me around the same time. In His amazing and infinite wisdom He warned me early on about this area too. This has always helped make sure that I would remember that the love and healings etc that happen in daily life do not come because of me but because of Jesus.

Indeed Jesus Himself spoke of giving glory to God the Father. See Philippians 2:11.

It really isn’t about me. In fact I deserve nothing but to die in sin without the Grace of God. I deserve no other way than the road to hell and destruction based on the disobedience of our fellow humans Adam and Eve back in the Garden of Eve. See Genesis 3:6.

But God’s tremendous love and Grace that He has for his Creation caused him to send His only begotten Son Jesus. See John 3:16.

And in Christ all believers are born again with a brand new heart. We received the ability to use the authority of the name of Jesus having become joint heirs with Him.

Oh friends we have inherited so much because of the grace of God….and all very much undeserved. We must thank Jesus and God the Father often for all of these precious promises and provisions.

Let’s spend time with our Lord daily, Amen? Let’s do what Jesus told us we should do. See Mark 16….Matthew 28…..Matthew 22:37-40.

It’s the least we can do … To be about our Father’s business.

You are already blessed.

Love Your Neighbor

Luke 10:27 in the bible says,” 27 “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”
For some people it is easier to pick out their neighbors. The selection process is often bias and the application process selective.
If we look at the end of the verse in Luke 10:27, it doesn’t seem to give choices. The verse simply states, ” Love your neighbor as yourself.”
If we break this down it can be viewed in a more helpful way.
The definition of neighbor is, (of a place or thing) to be situated next to or very near (another). Is it safe then to say that anyone near you is your neighbor? This being the case, God commands us to love our neighbor. If we are disciples of Jesus we must not just love those who likes us, but, those not the same, color, age, weight, income level, upbringing, and church. We must also love the lost, perverted, criminal, depressed, sinner and more. It is a process to adapt to for some. Especially if you have been taught to think differently. Loving someone can be a challenge but God says his goodness can cause people to turn away from a life without him. It’s never too late to forgive and love again. Give it a try.  God won’t forsake you.
